Udupi: Hindutva groups lodge police complaint against Dr. Zakir Naik

Udupi, Sept. 29, 2012: Pro Hindu outfits have lodged complaints against Islamic preacher Dr.Zakir Naik for insulting Hindu deities and hurting the sentiments of Hindus.

A group of Hindutva leaders, under the leadership of Hindu Janajaagrathi Samithi, lodged a complaint against Dr. Naik at the Mangalore Police Station for publicly questioning Shiva and Lord Ganesha. The complainants said that he has insulted Hinduism and hurt Hindu sentiments.

The Hindu Janajaagrithi Samithi has lodged complaints against Dr. Naik in Panvel, Mumbai, and Pune too.

Among the complainants were Chittaranjan Hegde of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Vijay Kumar of Hindu Janajaagrathri Samithi, Shrinivas Rao, Dinesh Nayak, and others.
