Udupi: Youth Festival starts from Feb 1

Udupi, Jan 27, 2014: The State-level Yuvajana Mela or Youth Festival for 2012-13 would be held at Abhinaya Ranga Mantapa at Yellur Village in Udupi from Feb 1 to 3.The Youth Festival would focus on displaying folk culture from different parts of the state.

It would be in the form of competitions between various youth teams in the following categories: Bhava Geethe, Theatre songs, Folk songs, Bisuva Pada, Sobane pada, Gigi pada, Lavani, Bhajans, solo acting performances, Kolata, Doddata, Dollu Kunitha, Yakshagana and instrumental music.
