Ullal : Mob attacks man, sets ablaze car near Kumpala

Mangalore, Aug 30, 2013 :  In an incident reported from  near Kumpala in Ullal on August 29, Thursday night, a group of around 50 persons  brutally attacked a person with lethal weapons. The incident occurred at around 11.30 pm.

The injured person named Vijaya Prakash (32) has been admitted to a private hospital in Derlakatte. The incident took place when he was returning after the Mosaru Kudike celebrations in Tokkottu in a Nano car. It is learnt, the assailants waylaid the car and set it on fire.

 The alleged assault on a child by a Veshadhari in the Huli Vesha team of Vijaya Prakash which had participated in the contest held at Tokkottu as part of Mosaru Kudike, is suspected to be the reason for the attack.
