Valedictory of 47th National Navy Maritime Day held

Mangalore, April 5: The valedictory programme of the 47th National Navy Maritime Day celebrations was organized at the New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) at Panambur on April 5, Monday. President of NMPTCC Ivan Monteiro made the welcome speech.  

Inspector General of Police Gopal B Hosur said during the occasion that the sea plays an important role in our daily lives. Comparing the sea to a woman, he said that it can get as furious as it can stay calm. He also spoke about the importance of ports for the economic development of the country. He hoped that NMPT will emerge as the best port in future. 

Chairman of NMPTCC Tamilvannan presented a memento to Gopal B Hosur, who also released the stickers and stamps of National Maritime Day.

 

Captain Hareesh spoke on the topic “Sea Faring – a Career of Opportunities.”
