Mangalore, Dec 23: Mangalore Police have nabbed a person who allegedly killed Vamanjoor Rohi. A police special intelligence squad made the arrest on Dec 22. 

Allegedly, Murgesh, a close associate of Vamanjoor Rohi, killed him because underworld dons Bhaskar, Nikhil Shetty, and Vishwanath Koraga Shetty ordered him to do so. The others involved in the murder of Rohi, Sampath Bhandary (30) of Urundadigudde, Santhosh Kottary (23) of Jyothinagar, Krishnappa Salian (59), and Dhanraj Poojary (26) of Kottara Kalbavi Nagar, had already been arrested by the police a few days after the murder. 

Vamanjoor Rohi was found murdered on July 4, 2009. He was staying in the house of Shalini, the sister-in-law of Krishnappa Salian. She gave him food mixed with a heavy dose of sleeping pills and informed his killers when he was fast asleep. The gang of 7 then arrived in a car and motor bike, armed with a couple of revolves, swords, and so on and brutally attacked him. 

Vamanjoor Rohi sustained severe injuries and Krishnappa Salian admitted him to the hospital where he died.
