Violence escalates in Puttur, clashes in Savanur

Puttur, Nov 14, 2015:   It is reported that another youth was stabbed at Golithottu of Puttur on Nov 13, Friday. The victim is Mohommed Haris (22).  Even as Dakshina Kannada district  struggles to overcome the repercussions of violence that took place in Bantwal, this incident is causing concern.

It is said that Haris was returning home along with his friend named Ashraf after Friday prayers when miscreants attacked Haris with a machete.  The injured Haris was admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru.

In Savanur : Clashes erupted in Savanur area when a shopkeeper refused to shut down the shop in wake of bundh called for by Hindu outfits.  In the free for all Sampya Sub Inspector Ravi was injured.
