Mangaluru, Nov 23, 2019: Konkani Language and Cultural Foundation and Vishwa Konkani Kendra will confer literary and life achievement awards during a programme to be held at T V Raman Pai Convention Centre in Mangaluru today November 23, Saturday.

Vimala V Pai Vishwa Konkani best book award 2019 will be presented to Devidasa Kadam, for his novel ‘Janvaya’.

Vimala V Pai Vishwa Konkani best poetry collection award is won by writer and All India Radio former Announcer Shakunthala R Kini for her work ‘Thode Ekanta’.

Konkani litterateur and researcher Rocky V Miranda, Mysuru will be awarded with ‘Vimala V Pai Vishwa Konkani life achievement award-2019.

Basti Vaman Shenoy Vishwa Konkani Samaja Seva Prashashti will be awarded to Yoga Guru K Raghavendra Pai of Mysuru. In the Women’s category, the award will be presented to social worker Meera Shrinivas Shanobhogue of Kumta.
