Water supply on alternate days in Udupi from Feb 17, Wednesday

Udupi, Feb 16, 2016 : Since the water flow in the Swarna river is declining by the day at the Baje Dam, the Udupi City Municipal Council (CMC) has decided to provide drinking water to the city on alternate days from Feb 17,Wednesday.

In a press media release, Municipal Commissioner D. Manjunathayya said that as the water flow was declining, it had become difficult to provide water to the people whose houses and apartments were in the up-ghat areas of the city. Hence, a decision had been taken to supply water on alternate days in all 35 wards of the city, the release said.
