Amidst the drama, Leader of the Opposition in the Mangaluru City Corporation council Roopa D. Bangera objected to the display of a banner showing district in-charge Minister B. Ramanath Rai’s name on tankers supplying water to different parts of the city.  In a statement, Roopa  Bangera said that it was unfortunate that the Congress was trying to take advantage for distribution of water at a time when several parts of the city were reeling under water scarcity. Instead Minister Rai should have made effective efforts to solve the problem. Efforts should be made by Minister Rai and three other ministers to address the problems faced by the people.
