Mangalore, Dec 15: The District Crime Investigation Bureau (DCIB) nabbed a 21-year-old woman Parvathi who resides in Devi Nagar when she was selling stolen jewelry in the Service Bus Stand of Mangalore. The police have confiscated jewelry worth Rs 2 lakhs.
Under interrogation, Parvathi said that she had stolen the ornaments from Subrayudu of Devaraj Compound, Magaladevi, nearly a year back. Subrayadu had filed a complaint at the Pandeshwar Police Station.
Parvathi had kept one chain at the Co-operative Bank of Kumble. The police have confiscated that chain too, which was among the jewelry stolen from Subrayudu.
Parvathi is currently in judicial custody.
