Workshop on Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for School Teachers

Manipal, August 27, 2017: Melaka Manipal Medical College, Manipal Campus(MMMC) organised a half day hands-on workshop on Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for teachers of Rajeevnagara Government School recently. The college has conducted health, nutrition and sanitation awareness sessions and self-defence classes as part of its commitment to Daan Utsav.

The CPR hands-on workshop was held to create awareness among the teachers so that they could then impart the knowledge to students. CPR saves lives and generally, people are ignorant of how handy it is to know the skill. A group of teachers led by their headmaster Balakrishna P took part in the workshop, have benefitted from it.

Dr Shobha K L, Co-ordinator, Clinical Skills Lab and Dr James Gonsalves, Associate Professor, Department of Physiology, MMMC were the facilitators for the workshop.
