Mangaluru, Dec 27, 2015: Dakshina Kannada district Amateur Kusthi Association will organise ’Tulunada Kesari’, ’Tulu Kumar’ and ’ Master Shivaji’ and other wrestling events for men and women on December 27 at Bhavanishankar Kundar Kudroli Akhada’ at Karavali Uthsava ground in Mangaluru.

Addressing media in Mangaluru, association President Vinod Kumar Sasihithlu said that the body weight of the participants will be measured at Sri Gokarnanatheshwara College, Mangaluru on December 25 between 3 pm and 6 pm.

For men, the wrestling event will be held in 10 categories: 36 kg (Master Shivaji), 40 kg, 45 kg, 50 kg, 55 kg, 60 kg (Tulu Kumar), 66 kg , 74 kg (Tulunada Kesari), 84 kg and 84 plus while for women, the wrestling event will be held in 40 kg, 45 kg, 50 kg, 55 kg and 60 plus categories. Winners in all categories will be awarded with a certificate, shield and cash prize, he added. Association Honourary President Sureshchandra Shetty and Secretary Mohan Kumar Bengre were present.
