Mangalore,Oct 2, 2014 : Yamaha Technical School (YTS), the first of its kind in South India, promoted by the two-wheeler giant, India Yamaha Motor Private Limited, was inaugurated at the premises of St Joseph’s Technical Institute here.
The aim is to promote and encourage the economically weaker youth to become self-reliant by becoming expert two-wheeler technicians and getting employed at Yamaha dealerships. The opening of YTS follows an MoU inked with St Joseph’s Technical Institute in last May to develop a partnership and thereby help deserving students find employment in the automobile sector.
Speaking at the event, Yamaha Motor India Sales Marketing Director Kimura Hiroshi said the partnership is meant to provide a platform to the economically weaker and unemployed youth to obtain a job oriented technical training in two-wheeler repair and servicing that meets industry standards. Upon successful completion of the course, the students will receive a certification by Yamaha Technical Academy at Silver level and St Joseph’s Technical Institute that will help them to find a suitable employment,” he said. desirable youth could take advantage of this facility.
