Mangalore, Nov 5: Ester Noronha, Konkani’s youngest musical genius, is going to present her third show at Don Bosco Hall on December 27, 6 p.m. Her first album "Kalza Thavn" will be released by Mr. Ronald Colaco, the NRI entrepreneur during this occasion. The chief guest will be Dr M Mohan Alva, chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodubidri.
Ester is only 17 years old, but her musical accomplishments are great. She has already set a record by being the only artiste in Dakshina Kannada to perform an arangetram in both Bharatanatyam and Carnatic vocal. She has completed "Eight Grades" piano at Trinity College London. She has also rendered a solo Bharatanatyam performance titled "Yesu Charitam" (Life of Jesus Christ). Recently, she went to Bahrain to participate in a Kannada musical event in the company of professional singers of Kannada.
Besides Bharatnatyam, Carnatic music, and piano, Ester knows the guitar and is now learning violin and Hindustani vocal. She has been getting many offers to present live performances in Hindi and Kannada; but Ester says that she will always give top priority to her mother tongue Konkani.
