Udupi, Nov 19, 2015: The Udupi Block Youth Congress Committee staged a sit in dharna in front of the Clock Tower in Udupi Nov 18 against the rise in prices of essential commodities and increasing incidents of intolerance in the country.

Speaking to the protestors, Congress leader Amrit Shenoy said people had elected Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister with a lot of expectations 15 months ago as he had promised “Acche Din” (good days). But they were already disillusioned with him. But instead of listening to the grievances of the people, PM Modi was on foreign tour most of the time. PM  Modi had no time to meet the families of farmers who were committing suicide.
