Apr 09, 2016: It is reported that a youth from Bihar who was talking on his mobile phone  met his tragic end after being run over by a speeding train on April 7, near Kumbala.

The deceased is Mohan Shah (29). He was employed as a daily wage worker at Kumbla by a construction firm that had a contract for road repair work.   He was walking on the track, talking over the the phone and  he did not realise that the train was approaching.    When he did not return to his accommodation till early Friday morning, his room-mates and other workers went in search of him.

They later found him on the railway track in a very critical state. He was rushed to Mangaluru Hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
