Two booked for offensive FB posts in Bantwal

Bantwal, April 28, 2020: Separate FIRs have been registered in Bantwal Town Police station against two persons on the charges of  making offensive  Facebook posts targeting one particular community.

The police have registered a case against Rohith Poojary of Nandarabettu  based on the complaint by Iqbal of PFI and  against Bharath Shetty of Talapady on the basis of complaint by Mumbarak of  PFI.

The complainants have alleged that the accused while blaming a particular community for spread of Coronavirus have even targeted the community, its mosques, religious heads and practice of fasting.
