Udupi district nodal officer tests positive for COVID-19

Udupi, August 6, 2020: Dr Prashant Bhat, the COVID-19 nodal officer of Udupi district tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, following which the he and the District Health and Family Welfare Officer was sent into home quarantine.

Ever since the detection of COVID-19 in Udupi district, Dr Prashant has been working as the nodal officer for the pandemic. District Health and Family Welfare Officer, Dr Sudhirchandra Sood, who was working closely with Dr Prashant in handling the pandemic, has also been sent into home quarantine as a precautionary measure.

Dr Prashant has been serving as the nodal officer for four and a half months and had been closely monitoring each COVID-19 case detected in the district.
