Mangaluru, January 28, 2024: The development of the country should be our goal and every citizen should contemplate how they can contribute to the country’s growth, said Former MLC Capt. Ganesh Karnik speaking at the 75th Republic Day celebrations organized by the Nitte Sports Institutions in the vibrant atmosphere of the Nitte Sports Complex.
Commander Ashwin M. Rao, currently serving as the director, participated in the event as the chief guest.
During the event, the 50th-year cricket match for players aged 50 and above, organized with the collaboration of Boloor Alvas Cricket Academy and K.R.S. Cricket Academy, was inaugurated by Ashok Adyanthaya of Udupi Athletics Association. The cricket tournament will take place on January 26, 27, and 28.
Dr. Niranjana N. Chiplunkar, Deputy Principal of Nitte Polytechnic, welcomed the guests and introduced them to the attendees. Dr. Shivaprasad Shetty, coordinator of N.C.C. at Nitte Polytechnic, felicitated the chief guest, Ashwin M. Rao, and Dr. Usha Shetty, coordinator of the Sports and Physical Education Department at Nitte Polytechnic, outlined the program.
