Girl fatally struck by reckless two-wheeler near Belman

Karkala, June 23, 2024: A tragic accident occurred on Saturday evening when a 14-year-old girl was fatally struck by a two-wheeler while walking on Nandalike Cross Road near Belman.

The deceased, identified as Pranamya Shetty, was a 10th-grade student at Mulladka English Medium School and a resident of Nandalike. According to sources, she was on her way to the Lakshmi Janardhana Temple in Nandalike for prayers when a recklessly driven, high-speed two-wheeler hit her. The impact caused critical injuries, and despite immediate medical attention, Pranamya succumbed to her injuries.

A case has been registered at the Karkala Rural Police Station regarding the incident.
