Mangalore, April 12: Rajani Dugganna, the mayor of Mangalore, lauded the Dakshina Kannada Jilla Moolyara Yana Kulalara Sangha (Regd) for encouraging the district’s youngsters to become top achievers. She was speaking during a programme held at Town Hall by the organization to felicitate the newly elected mayor, deputy mayor, and chairpersons of the standing committees on April 11, Sunday.
The mayor expressed her pleasure that the members of the organization had felicitated everybody and not just those who belong to their caste. The organization of such communities helps people come together and work in unity. She encouraged social service organizations to continue recognizing and honoring achievers.
The organization felicitated Mayor Rajani Dugganna, Deputy Mayor Rajendra Kumar, and Standing Committee Chairpersons Roopa D Bangera, Sudhir Shetty, Diwakar, and Shanta R. Dr. Jayaraj Prakash, the agriculture and water resources development officer of Bantwal, presided over the programme.
J R Bangera, the convener of Swadesh Jagran Manch; Huchchappa of Bangalore, entrepreneur Saundarya Ramesh; Pushpa Sadanand; Dr. Annaiah Kulal; Dr. Swapna Kulal; Chandrappa Moolya; Kumare Gowda; Chenne Gowda; and many other leaders were also present.
Before the felicitation programme, the members of the Ullal, Farangipet, Kulai, Kolya, Suratkal, and other units of the Kulalara Sangha organized cultural programmes.
