Yenepoya School completes a year of sports Education

Mangalore, 15th April : The Yenepoya School, Mangalore’s leading school with global standards focusing on the all-round development of the child, announced that it has successfully implemented the EduSports SOAR platform for improving the health & fitness levels of children in the school for a year now. The program also covers detailed fitness/ skills assessments for all children along with periodic reports, and interactions with the parents on the overall health & fitness levels of their children.
Speaking at the occasion, Mr C. K. Manjunath, Principal and Head of Academics at The YenepoyaSchool said “Over the last year, we have been delighted to see the on-ground implementation of the program. We find EduSport’s focus on creating physically educated children through sports, aligns very well with our vision for school education. Children’s health & fitness is a key concern for parents and we share this concern with them. The YenepoyaSchool is delighted to help children stay healthy and fit through the magic of sport. We launched the EduSport’s SOAR platform in our school in June 2009 for children from 1st to 4th standard. We have seen a significant improvement in the fitness levels as well as the enthusiasm levels of our children towards sports & physical activity. There has been 100% improvement in the endurance levels of the children. 75% of the children have shown improvement in the Speed Test. More than 70% children have shown improvement in the area of strength of lower extremities and shoulder strength.”
