Mangalore, Apr 16: Vinod M and Ramya Uchil, students of I MBA at AIMIT, St Aloysius College in Mangalore, gave a talk at the International Institute of Public Policy (IIPP) Conference Hall about the rural exposure programme held in January 2010 to IIPP members on April 13 at 6:30 p.m.
Mrs Anita Cordeiro, the secretary of IIPP, gave the welcome and introductory speech. Fr. Denzil Lobo SJ, the director of AIMIT, lead the group in prayer. He especially prayed for Mr. Max Rasquinha, the president, sponsor, and mentor of IIPP; the members of the IIPP, and the students who were giving the presentation.
Mrs Cordeiro introduced Mr. Nandagopal and his wife Sachita, the new members of the IIPP. Mr. Nandagopal briefly spoke about his dream project, Centre for Integrated Learning (CIL).
Vinod M and Ramya Uchil gave their presentation in two parts. Vinod spoke about self-help groups and bank linage. Ramya spoke about occupations, problems, and recommendations. The students explained new concepts such as “Micro Finance,” “SHG,” and “Contract Farming.” The presentation was followed by an interactive session.
