Rotary Club adopts Shaktinagar for a year

Mangalore, April 19:  Dr. V S Mohandas Nayak, President of the Socio Cultural Study Centre of Canara College, inaugurated a programme to celebrate the adoption of Shaktinagar by Rotary Club, Mangalore Metro on April 18, Sunday, in Kuvempu Centenary Primary School at Nalyapadavu in Shaktinagar. On the same occasion, a free medical camp by KMC Hospital Attavar was also launched. 


The Socio Cultural Research and Study Centre of Canara College in collaboration with Padavu Friends of Shaktinagar, KMC Hospital Attavara, Prakrithi Mahila Mandali Shaktinagar, and Rotary Club of Mangalore Metro organized this programme. 

Shaktinagar will be adopted for a year. During this period, the village will receive free medicine from Rotary Club and KMC Hospital. Various specialists and doctors will organize seminars to create health awareness among the people. 


Sathish Kini, SS Kamath, Jayarajram, Headmaster of Kuvempu Centenary Primary School Shridhar Ullal, Johnson, Madhava Rai, Mariamma Thomas, Ashalatha, and others were present for the programme.
