Acharya had assured the college authorities during his last visit that he would visit the famed chapel of the college, home to some of the best-known frescoes in the world. Dr Acharya had last visited this chapel a good 55-years ago, when he was a student. Terming the visit to the chapel as an enchanting and a wonderful experience, Dr Acharya told TOI that the chapel has some wonderful collection of frescoes ever known to mankind.

Spending close to an hour in the cool precincts of the chapel, Dr Acharya was escorted by the principal of the college Swebert D’Silva, and Vincent Pinto, principal of St Aloysius Evening College. Rev Fr Pinto explained about the frescoes to Dr Acharya who evinced keen interest in them. "The paintings look a lot more refreshing and lively from the time I last saw them, during which time they have been restored," Dr Acharya observed.

After the visit to the chapel, it was time for some exclusive sound bites to Radio Sarang, the community radio of the college where Richard Rego, head of the department of mass communication and journalism of the college, interviewed him. The home minister who was scheduled to attend the ongoing urus celebration at Syed Madani Darga at Ullal near here had time on hand as he had arrived much in advance to his engagement there.
