Economically backward students to receive free notebooks

Mangalore, April 23: The G M Shankar Family Trust and Udupi District Mogaveera Youth Association will jointly organize a programme in which free notebooks were distributed to financially backward students of V - X Stds in the academic year 2010 - 11. 


Students are required to apply individually and submit copies of their marks and income certificates. The organizations will then give them an approval certificate. Students holding this approval certificate are then required to appear at Shyamili Auditorium Ambalapadi at 10 a.m. on May 22 to receive their free notebooks. 


Application forms are available at G Shankar Family Trust office at NH17, Ambalapady, Udupi. Members of the Mogaveera community can obtain forms from youth association offices. The applications forms will not be given to schools. The forms are to be submitted on May 1 - 3. 


Students should have received not less than 55 percent for SC/STs, 70 percent for OBC, and 85 percent for general category.
