MLA Khader launches Mohammed Rafi Foundation

Mangalore, April 24: MLA U T Khader formally launched Padmashree Mohammed Rafi Foundation at a special programme organized at Lions Seva Mandir recently. 

Baptist Pinto, the managing trustee, spoke in appreciation of Mohammed Rafi.

The dignitaries on the dais were Binu Nair, the chairman of the Mumbai Rafi Foundation; Ivan D’Souza, the vice president of the DK District Congress Committee (DCC); Siraj Ahmed, the managing director of the Inland Infrastructure Developers Private Limited; Suresh Ballal, the former chairman of MUDA; and Sharief, the deputy superintendent of police. 

The trustees of the foundation Mohammed Hanif, Abdul Majeed Sooralpady, Vittoba Bhandarkar, U B Abdul Salim Ullal, Badruddin Panambur, Arshad Vorkady, and Naseema Hanif were also present. 

A musical concert was arranged as a mark of tribute to the legendary singer Mohammed Rafi. Mohammed Hanif, one of the popular singers of the city, presented the concert after the formal stage programme.
