Mangalore, Apr 27: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) of Dakshina Kannada organized “Rastha Roko” near Clock Tower on April 27, Tuesday, against the rise in the prices of essentials such as petrol, diesel, and food products.
Secretary of CPI (M) B Madhava said that 13 political parties all over the country have organized a protest against the union and the state governments for raising the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 4 and Rs 2, respectively. He urged the government to reduce the price of food grains and fuel prices too. He also accused the union government of lack of interest in the woes of the public.
Slogans were raised against the central and the state governments.
