New college to be launched on Monday

Bantwal, May 8: The newly constructed Melkar Women’s Pre University College, established by the Mangalore Education Enhancement Trust at Marnabail in Bantwal, will be inaugurated on Monday, said Trust President S. M. Rasheed during a press meet on Friday. 

District-in-charge Minister Krishna J. Palemar will inaugurate the new college. Bantwal MLA B. Ramanath Rai, Mangalore MLA U. T. Khader, Yenepoya University Vice Chancellor Y Abdulla Kunhi, and others will participate in the programme.

Mr. Rasheed also said that the college has received the government’s approval to offer arts, commerce, and science courses. Computers and electronic science will be offered to the science students. Besides offering high-quality education, the college also plans to offer education to economically backward women.
