Karnataka Bank Ltd. holds regional heads review conference

Mangalore, May 9: Karnataka Bank Limited organized its regional heads review conference in its head office to review the performance of various regions for the fiscal year 2009 - 10. 

Managing Director of Karnataka Bank Limited P. Jayarama Bhat called upon the region heads to focus on quality of assets and profitability as well as mobilization of low-cost deposits under CASA. He advised them to focus on recovery, accelerated CASA growth, increase in share of income, and vigorous expansion of healthy credit portfolio. Reminding them of the challenge that will be posed to banks by the introduction of the Base Rate Concept; he unrolled the business plan for 2010 - 11. 

General Manager P. Jairama Hande made the welcome speech and spoke about the highlights of the year 2009 - 10. General Managers Sarvashri K. H. Shivaswamy Aithal, N. Upendra Prabhu, B. Ashok Hegde, and M. V. C. S. Karanth also spoke on the occasion. N. R. Ravishankar, the assisstant general manager, gave a presentation with relevant facts and figures for the fiscal year 2009 - 10. 

M. Narayana Bhat, the chief manager, proposed the vote of thanks. Nine regional heads and executives of the head office were present on the occasion.
