DYFI protests against sale of fish at mall

Mangalore, May 9: The DYFI District Committee has protested against the sale of fish at Spar Hypermarket in City Centre Mall. 

The organization voiced its concern for the adverse effects this might have on the lives of the poor fishermen in Mangalore. The DYFI has also warned that it would intensify its protests if the authorities do not ban the sale of fish at the mall. It alleged that malls such as City Centre attract customer attention by offering commodities at competitive prices. This causes great suffering for the small traders in the city.
