State government acts unlawfully: Sri Rama Sene

Mangalore, May 10: Sri Rama sene, right wing of Hindu group, has sought the central government and Home department’s intervention to take an apt legal action against the arrest of its state co-convener Prasad Attavar and also members of Sri Rama Sene.

Staging a huge protest in front of DC office on May 10, Pramod Mutalik, leader of Sri Rama sene, has said that the state police department is acting according to the state government. He further alleged that, many of its innocent activists  have been detained under false case charges. On the occasion, he has condemned the arrest of Prasad Attavar and said Prasad attavar was also detained by the police under false charges.


Roaring against the mental and physicals torture to its members at police station, he said, state government is using police power to torture Sene members. The state government is putting pressure on state police to suppress the group activities of its members and also its organisation.
He has accused the state police for using the derogatory words  towards the parents and siblings of sene activists, when they visit police station.

Demanding the release of innocent activists, a memorandum has been submitted to Home ministry through Deputy Commissioner, V Ponnuraj.
