Mangalore, May 26: ISKCON at Arya Samaj Road, Balmatta, will celebrate Narasimha Jayanthi grandly tomorrow evening. Lord Narasimha, also known as Vignavinashaka, is believed to ward off all obstacles faced by devotees.
ISKCON will perform a Narasimha Yajna with ghee, sweet pongal, dry fruits, barley, til seeds, and other ingredients. Visitors are welcome to participate in this Yajna and offer til seeds and barley at the agnihotra. A special rangoli will be made around the Yajna Kunda.
ISKCON will also present a video on Lord Narasimha and various Narasimha temples all over the world. All the people of Mangalore are invited to attend the programme with family members, friends, and relatives.
The devotees will be seated for the yajna at 5:20 p.m. The Narasimha Yajna will commence at 5:30 p.m. A tulsi puja will be performed at 7 p.m., followed by the sandhya arati at 7:10 p.m. The Sri Narasimha Stotra will be at 7:40 p.m. Special bhajans will be sung to Lord Narasimha at 7:45 p.m. At 8:00 p.m., the video will be presented. At 8:45 p.m., the dinner prasadam will be served.
