MphasiS supports 230 Anganwadis in Mangalore

Mangalore, June 02, 2010: MphasiS, re-enforcing its commitment towards the society and children, has extended its support to 230 Anganwadis in and around Mangalore by providing education materials.

 

In a formal ceremony held recently, Manoj Patel, Location Leader, MphasiS Mangalore handed over about 900 educational charts for Anganwadi children to Ms. Shobha Rani, Mangalore City Child Development Project Officer.

Under this initiative, the employees of MphasiS, Mangalore office along with the local Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) reached out to Anganwadis in and around Mangalore to understand educational needs of children below the age of five. Colourful, easy to read, educational charts were created for these children with an aim to improve learning techniques with the help of visual aids. 

“It gives us great pleasure to bring a positive difference in the lives of thousands of underprivileged children by empowering them with appropriate learning materials,” said Manoj Patel, Location Leader, MphasiS Mangalore. “MphasiS, as an organisation aims to support child education and development. We strongly believe that our support will address educational needs of the young and build a better future for them,” he added.

“We are very grateful to MphasiS for their support towards making education fun for the Anganwadi children,” said Shobha Rani, Mangalore City Child Development Project Officer. “Children would be delighted to see the class rooms with bright and colourful posters when they come back from their summer vacation.” she added.
