2 injured in fire at bed manufacturing unit

Mangalore, June 4, 2010: Two people sustained minor injuries when a fire broke out this Friday morning in Swapna Enterprises, a bed manufacturing unit at Kandathpalli, Mangalore. 

 

Cushions, bed, and other bedding material were burned to ashes in the fire, which is believed to have been caused by an electric short circuit at 8:30 a.m. The injured were Farooq and Shareef, who are employed at the unit. 

Iqbal, the owner of Swapna Enterprises, says that the fire has caused a loss of Rs 50,000 – Rs 60,000. 

The fire brigade rushed to the spot within an hour and extinguished the fire.
