Mangalore, Dec 22: The Police Department is observing December as the Crime Prevention Month with the purpose of creating awareness among the public on crime control methods. As part of the Crime Prevention Month activities, the Kadri Police organized a bike rally within its limits on Dec 22, Tuesday.
Amith Singh, the assistant superintendent of police, Mangalore Sub-division, inaugurated the bike rally. Niranjan Raj Urs, the circle inspector of Kadri Police, and the rest of the police personnel of Kadri Police Station were active participants.
They displayed a wide array of banners and posters to enhance awareness of crime among the public. The rally also conveyed to the public the importance of following traffic rules, taking precautionary measures to avoid crime, and so on.
By organizing the rally, the Kadri Police urged people to become responsible citizens and cooperate with the police to control and prevent crime.
