District sub jail inmate injured in fight

Mangalore, May 8, 2012: A prisoner was injured in a fight at the district sub jail on May 8 Tuesday at around 6:45 a.m.

According to police sources, Vishwanath Poojary, Somanath alias Somu, and Shivaraj assaulted Manzar. The Barke police have registered a case based on a complaint, which states that Manzar and the gang got into an argument that turn violent. The gang attacked Manzar with a steel vessel and injured his head.

Manzar was taken to Wenlock Hospital for treatment and was discharged at noon.
