Health Minister Ramdas visits K S Hegde Medical Academy

Mangalore, June 2, 2012: The State Minister for Health & Family Welfare  S. A. Ramdas along with N. Yogish Bhat, Dy. Speaker & member, Karnataka Legislative Assembly visited the K. S. Hegde Medical Academy in city today.

Dr. Arunachalam Kumar, Dean of the college introduced the duo, mentioning that the health minister had recently visited their institute as Chief Guest on their last graduation day. He congratulated the minister for initiating sweeping changes in the department, both in revamping health administration and medical education.

The visitors interacted with faculty members of the college and hospital. Sri Ramadas appealed to them to exercise their votes in forthcoming Legislative Council polls in favor BJP supported nominees.  The minister mentioned that at times the public had right to its impression that the party had not lived up to its stature and standing: he cited that a few compromises had to be made during the term of the present government to appease independent candidates who extended external support. He however stressed that BJP had lived up to its promises and pledges on overall development and stability.

Yogish Bhat elaborated on the voting process and requested all the eligible graduates to take active part in the elections. He appealed to the graduate constituency electorate to cast their ballots in favor of Capt. Ganesh Karnik and D.H. Shankaramurthy
