Mangalore, June 7, 2012 : The Catholic Sabha of St. Vincet Ferrer Church in Valencia celebrated its 13th anniversary recently with M. P. Noronha, advocate and Christian marriages registrar, as the chief guest.
Among the dignitaries on the dais were Nigel Pereira, president of the Catholic Sabha Central Committee; Walter Cyril Pinto, former president; Fr. Bonaventure Nazareth, spiritual director and parish priest for Valencia; Fr. Praveen Robert D’Souza, assistant parish priest; Anil Lobo, president of Catholic Sabha; Arthur Pereira, vice president; and Margaret Moras, secretary.
Nigel Pereira presented the Catholic Sabha report on this occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Pinto, the former president of the Catholic Sabha, urged members of the community to try for government jobs and grab all state benefits meant for the Christian community.
Fr. Nazareth bid farewell to Fr. Roshan Crasta, assistant priest of Valencia parish, who has been transferred to Vamanjoor parish.
Memory, the comedy troupe, and Vismaya Vinayaka, a mimicry troupe, presented a cultural show on this occasion.
A sumptuous dinner was served to all at the end of the event.
