3 fishermen go missing

Mangalore, June 21, 2012 : Three fishermen who went fishing in an artificial pond in Moodugiliyaru, Kota on the evening of Wednesday are missing.

According to the police, Narasimha (60), Kiran (18), and Raju (30) went fishing at around 5:30 p.m. and did not return home.

Their worried families alerted the police at 8:30 p.m. The police and the fire fighting personnel are now trying to trace the missing fishermen.

Since it was late in the evening, the rescue team was finding it difficult to trace the missing men. A number of local people had gathered at the pond.

The police also found the clothes and footwear of the missing men near the pond.
