BJP’s organizing Jail Bharo for personal benefits – Ivan D’Souza

Mangalore,June 21, 2012: Addressing reporters at a press conference held in the District Congress office on June 21, Thursday, Ivan D’Souza, president of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), alleged that the BJP is holding its Jail Bharo program only for personal benefits, not for public welfare.

Criticizing the BJP-led state government, he said that it has been conducting the Jail Bharo program from the past five years, adding that, so far, only party leaders were going to jail, but now they are planning to send BJP workers to jail too.

He further declared that the motto of the BJP-led state government is “bail and jail.”

Stating that the BJP has no moral rights to state that the central government is making no attempts to reduce price hike, he said that the central government is actually maintaining economic stability throughout the country.

He also said that the government is making more profit because of petrol price hike, but is not using it for public welfare.
