Mangalore Today News Network

Mangalore, July 11, 2012 : The Mangalore City Corporation (MCC), which recently cancelled the building license of Plama Mall in Bikarnakatte for failure to take the mandatory precautions against mosquito breeding, is now gearing up to cancel the license of another under-construction building in Attavar.

The civic body inspected a total of 8 under-construction buildings in Attavar to make sure that they take the mandatory precautions against mosquito breeding. Balakrishna Gowda, town planning officer for MCC, led the inspection team.

According to Mr. Gowda, the MCC will cancel the license of Sky Court, which is being constructed by Presidency Builders, because the builders have taken no precaution against mosquito breeding on the construction site.

Further, Mr. Gowda said that the MCC team had visited the same construction site twice and warned the builders. On Monday, they directed the builders to stop construction work and drain the stagnant water. He said that the civic body’s next step is to cancel the license for this building.
