HJV’s moral policing has put nation to shame – Janardhan Poojary

Mangalore Today

Mangalore, July 29, 2012: The Hindu Janagarana Vedike’s (HJV) moral policing act has put the entire nation to shame, declared Congress leader Janardhan Poojary while addressing reporters at a press meet held in the district Congress office today.

Referring to the resort attack as the worst thing that can be done by the BJP-supported Hindu Janajagruthi Vedike, which always preaches about the greatness of Indian culture, he said that the BJP-led state government is unable to control these organizations. Stating that Subhash, who was arrested for assaulting girls in Morning Mist Home Stay, was also arrested with regard to the infamous pub attack of 2009, he said that the Sangh Parivar is interested only in destroying social peace and the BJP leaders are supporting these anti social elements.

While expressing his appreciation of the Youth Congress for staging an all-night protest against this attack, he simultaneously criticized them for declaring an all college bundh on Monday. He also criticized Congress workers and leaders who got into a physical fight at a program held to induct J. R. Lobo into the Congress party.

He urged the Congress to become a role model for other political parties and maintain unity and solidarity within the party.
