Mangalore, Aug 8 2012 : The Karnataka State Commission for Women (KSCW) has advised the district administration to protect the reputation of DK.

KSCW Chairperson C. Manjula, who prepared a 5-page report on the home stay attack, stated that it was a brutal incident, which has scarred the victims very badly and that they should be helped to recover psychologically and emotionally.

The KSCW has also urged the district administration to take long-term measures to restore the tarnished image of Dakshina Kannada. Stating that the police play a important role in preventing such incidents, she demanded action on the local police, wanting to know why the police did not keep an eye on Subhash Padil, who has a long history of crime and lawlessness.
