Two people injured in bus – tempo collision

Udupi, Aug 9, 2012: Two people sustained serious injuries when a private bus dashed into a mini truck at Erma Thenka Garodi on August 9, Thursday. 

The injured are Dayananda (32), tempo driver, and Vimala, who works for the Milk Producers’ Association. 

The private bus was on its way to Mangalore from Bellary when it dashed into the mini truck, which was transporting milk from Thenka Ermal to the cooperative milk producers’ society. 

Dayananda is now taking treatment in KMC Manipal and Vimala is in a private hospital in Padubidri. Reportedly, careless driving on the part of the bus driver is the cause for the accident.

The Kaup police have registered a case.
