Former MLA Halady Shrinivas Shetty’s brother is no more

Kundapur, Aug 10, 2012 : Udayakumar Shetty, brother of Halady Shrinivas Shetty, former MLA, committed suicide in his house in Halady on Aug 9, Thursday, at the age of 52.

Mr. Shetty, a farmer, was found hanging from the ceiling of his house at 6:00 p.m. He had returned from Bangalore on the morning of Thursday. Nobody knows the reason for the suicide as the farmer did not leave behind any death note.

Reportedly, Mr. Shetty had a good relationship with his brother and had no domestic or financial problem. However, he was deeply hurt that his brother was denied the post of a minister in Jagadish Shettar’s cabinet.

The deceased is survived by wife, mother, three brothers, and four sisters.
