Heavy rains damages another house

Mangalore, Aug 14, 2012: The heavy rains over the past few days has brought with it damage to the family of Noorulla khan who resides in Shaktinagar along with his wife Shahida Banu  and 2 children.

 

 

“We were worried about the continuous rains from past few days. At around 7 pm on Monday evening we were busy preparing for the Iftar when one of the house tiles fell down. We rushed outside with our family, and by that time whole house with the roofs fell apart. My wife has only minor injuries.Insha Allah”he said.

Electronic equipment in the house has been completely destroyed. He earns his livelihood with a small business and is now left homeless.

KPCC secretary Ivan D’Souza visited the spot and made arrangements to shift the family to a temporary shelter. He also assured that his party will take necessary steps to help the family repair the house. Shakthinagar corporator Mariyamma Thomas also visited the spot and inspected.
