Woman arrested for assaulting lady cop

Mangalore, Sep 25, 2012 : The cops have arrested a woman for hurling her footwear at a lady cop in front of the Padubidri Police Station on September 24, Monday.

The arrested is Pramoda of Kadibettu, who was later produced in court.

Pramoda had called up the railway station asking for a jeep driver called Santhosh, but was told that Santhosh was not available. An exasperated Pramoda arrived at the police station and hurled her slipper at Mamatha, a lady cop. She also used abusive words and physically assaulted Mamatha and demanded to know where the jeep driver was when the jeep was parked in the premises of the station.

The Padubidri police have registered a case.
