St. Victor Girls’ High School bags Prathibha Award

Mangalore, Oct 1, 2012 : The Prathibha Award was conferred on St. Victor Girls’ High School at an award ceremony organized jointly by the Karnataka Education Department and the DK District Administration at Town Hall, Mangalore for being the SSLC DK topper among aided schools.

St. Victor Girl’s High School achieved 100% results in SSLC 2011 – 12. The school has an English medium section and 2 Kannada medium sections for SSLC, and all the 244 students who appeared for their exams passed. Forty-two of them passed with distinction and 132 got I Class.

The Block Education Department, the Catholic Board of Education, and the Headmasters’ Association of Mangalore have also honored the school for its achievement.

Headmistress Doreen Fernandes said that the achievement was possible only because of the combined commitment of the students and the staff and the support of the board. The school has achieved this feat after nearly 46 years, she added.
