Bakrid to be celebrated on Oct 27

Mangalore, Oct 19, 2012: On behalf of Al Haj Twaka Ahmed Musliyar, qazi for DK district, Khatib Haji V. K. Sadaqatullah Faizi, said that Eid Al Adha or Eid Ul Zuha, also referred to as Badrid, will be celebrated on Oct 27, Saturday because the moon has been viewed on Oct 17. 

The message has been conveyed to the public by Haji Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi, president of the Eidgah Masjid and the Zeenath Baksh Central Juma Masjid. 

H. S. Hamza, committee president for Ullal Juma Masjid and Syed Madani Dargah, announced that Eid will be celebrated on Oct 27, Saturday. 

Udupi Sunni Samyukta Jamaath Qazi Al Haj P. M. Ibrahim Musliyar Bekal also made the same announcement.
